The essence of success has been the focus of the debate during the second ‘Essential Days’. An event organized by the Business Confederation of the Valencian Community (CEV), GrupoIdex and Kártica Branding, which brought together fifteen prominent CEOs of the Valencian business ecosystem, at El Telar de Miguel Martí in Valencia.
In a unique gastronomic environment, which began with a tasting by sommelier Maxi Bao, Brand Ambassador of Bodegas Vicente Gandía, the business leaders talked about the origin of their brands, sharing ideas and opinions that generated an in-depth discussion on the fundamental role of the brand essence in the success of companies. “It is enriching to be able to meet with top entrepreneurs and create an inspirational conversation based on success stories, where in each situation brand development has been different,” highlighted Rubén Ferrández, CEO of Grupoidex.
The event included a collective exercise in which participants shared the first steps of their brands and the initial challenges they faced. “We asked them two very particular things: first, to tell us what is the brand positioning or territory that the founder conquered at the beginning of his project, and then, to describe the founder’s personality. In this way, we were able to contrast whether both aspects coincided with the brand’s current identity,” explained Enrique Pernía, CEO of Kártica. “Today, many products are chosen not only for what they are, but also for what the brand represents and how it is worked.
Salvador Navarro, president of the CEV, underlined the importance of brand positioning for the growth of companies in the Valencian Community. “It has been very gratifying. We have verified, through the experiences shared by the attendees, that the evolution of the brand is a strategic lever for business development,” said Navarro.
The second edition of the ‘Essential Days’ was attended by leading figures from the business world of the Valencian Community. Among the attendees were Paco Gavilán, CEO of Nunsys and President of the Innovation Club; Laura Martínez, Director of Familia Martínez; Vicente Beltrán, CEO of Grupo Xtra; Cristina Baixauli, Director of Transformation at Dinapsis Valencia; Nuria Lloret, CEO of Metricsalad; Amaya Fernández de Uzquiano, from Irisem; Marian Garriga, from Genea Biomedx; Miguel Miró, General Business Director at Levante Unión Deportiva; Vicente Campos, CEO of Blue; Berti Barber Castellá, Founder and Director of Marketing and Sustainable Projects at Teika; and Javier Gandía, CEO of Bodegas Vicente Gandía.
Also in attendance were Salvador Navarro, President of the CEV; Esther Gilalbert, Secretary General of the CEV; Ana Gosálvez, Director of the CEV Alicante; Marta Iranzo, President of the Mediterranean Marketing Club and EVAP; Rubén Ferrández, Director of GrupoIdex and Vice President of Terciario Avanzado; Enrique Pernía, CEO of Kártica and Secretary General of the Club de Marketing del Mediterráneo; Pilar Garrido, Director of Strategic Planning at Kártica; and Sara Gutiérrez, Director of Client Services at GrupoIdex.
This large representation of the Valencian business community enriched the dialogue on the importance of branding and the development of brand essence as a key factor for success.
The success of this second ‘Essential Days’ reinforces the idea of creating more spaces like this, dedicated to listening, reflecting and deepening the origin of brands. This event enabled CEOs to reconnect with the unique essence of their brands and understand their value as a key differentiator to guide strategic decisions in their companies.
